http://www.coca.com.my/Did you ever know that the name COCA was derived from the Mandarin word “Kekou” which means “appetizing”?
Appetizing = C-O-C-AOne fine day I received an email from Andrea, the marketing manager for Coca Restaurant who cordially invited me and another 3 guests for a complimentary food session at their franchise in Subang Parade.
Anticipating the ever fresh seafood steamboat Coca has to offer, we were spoilt with choices of a few selected al carte appetizers and their steamboat seafood set worth RM 168 ++. We were fed with endless good food on the table and also not forgetting the free flow of drinks from the menu.
We were definitely stuffed and feeling all satisfied with the overall quality of the food Coca has to offer. Though dining at Coca restaurant comes with heftier price tag but I reckon the food served was top quality with great service and good ambience.
The Coca outlet @ Subang Parade... It has been ages since I last went there...

Internationally well knowned and established since 1957 - franchises at Asia Pacific in Thailand, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and more! :)

The huge and comfortable dining area... upon entering we were greeted by the staff and asking whether we were food bloggers? :P Along came Andrea shortly after to brief us a little about the Coca history... :)

The menu... Coca serves both Sukiyaki and Thai delicacies from their ala-carte menu...

Drinks of the table.... Rose Plum Tea... the new addition to the menu... Ever so refreshing with a dash of rose flavor and getting sour in your next sip.... great way to kickstart your appetite...

The Food Lovers anticipated patiently for the FOOD to be ready :P

Food Lovers No 2! HAHA! My old primary school friend and her partner who came along that night :)

On the table we were given a few appetizers from the menu. Deep Fried Fish Paste a.k.a fish cake seasoned with curry powder and deep fried to perfection (RM 12.80). Next was the crispy Spring Rolls priced at RM 9.50. The spring rolls were stuffed with turnip and prawns. :)

A must try and not to be missed would be the Panda Chicken (RM 8.80) - Marinated chicken and wrapped in pandan leaf. The succulent meat; accompanied with the pandan fragrant just made you wanting more and more :)

Deep fried mussels in batter served with salad sauce (RM12.80)

One of COCA specialisation will be their steamboat cuisine a.k.a Sukiyaki!!! My favorite and I've always enjoyed a good sukiyaki in Bangkok Thailand... Electrical pot and you can expect the food to be ready in a jiffy :P

Combination soup - Chicken and Tom Yam!!!!!

The seafood platter... Combinations of crab, prawn, fish maw, fishball, shrimp wantans, coca foo chook, vegetables and many many more! :)

The best part of all is Coca's speciality sauce that goes perfectly with the Sukiyaki! :P

Oooolalala... If you ask me, I mush prefer the chicken soup as it tasted sweet with all the seafood ingredients... yum! :)

The green spinach noodles...

A group photo after the satisfying meal...
