Little Dim Sum Place, SS2!!

The best way to eat dim sum is being served piping hot and fresh straight from the kitchen. :P

If you’re craving for some good dim sum, I would recommend the Little Dim Sum Place with franchises at SS2 and also Sri Hartamas.

Dim Sum is traditional Chinese cuisine; a variety of foods (including several kinds of steamed or fried dumplings) are served successively in small portions. Dim Sum has been popular since the good old times, an all time favourite option for breakfast! :)

Taro Dumpling a.k.a the fried "Wu Gok". Yam/ Taro pastry stuffed with yummy char siew.... This specialty is made with mashed taro, stuffed with diced shiitake mushrooms, shrimp and pork, deep-fried in crispy batter.

Fried Turnip Cake a.k.a fried "Lo Bak Go" with egg and tons of bean sprouts!

Shaomai (燒賣 siu mai). These are small steamed dumplings with pork inside a thin wheat flour wrapper. Usually topped off with crab roe and mushroom! All time favourite option and standard order :P

Dumpling stuffed with shitake mushrooms and minced pork and then drenced in superior sauce! A must try!

Address: COCA Subang Parade, Lot G28, Level G, Subang Parade 5, Jalan SS16/1 Subang Jaya
Tel: 03 5632 8766
Website: http://www.coca.com.my/

Did you ever know that the name COCA was derived from the Mandarin word “Kekou” which means “appetizing”?

Appetizing = C-O-C-A

One fine day I received an email from Andrea, the marketing manager for Coca Restaurant who cordially invited me and another 3 guests for a complimentary food session at their franchise in Subang Parade.

Anticipating the ever fresh seafood steamboat Coca has to offer, we were spoilt with choices of a few selected al carte appetizers and their steamboat seafood set worth RM 168 ++. We were fed with endless good food on the table and also not forgetting the free flow of drinks from the menu.

We were definitely stuffed and feeling all satisfied with the overall quality of the food Coca has to offer. Though dining at Coca restaurant comes with heftier price tag but I reckon the food served was top quality with great service and good ambience.

The Coca outlet @ Subang Parade... It has been ages since I last went there...

Some of the famous Taiwan Snacks served here are the Oyster Mee Sua, XXL Crispy Chicken, Chicken Floss Egg Crepe, Seafood tempura and Happy Ricebox Set. The selections are pretty limited hence you do not need to crack your head thinking what to order. :P

This history:
Thousands of Taiwanese crowd the local night markets in search of their favourite and delicious snacks, and Taipei's Shihlin Night Market is the most famous due to its very wide range of local delicacies in its small streets and alleys.

I can't wait to tuck myself to some good yummy Taiwan snacks when I'm at Taiwan end of April. :P *counting down*

Pork Spree @ Yut Kee Restaurant, Dang Wangi

Address: Yut Kee Restaurant, 35 Jalan Dang Wangi (Opposite Capital Square and Wilayah Complex)
Tel. 03-2698-8108.
Opens from 8am-5pm daily, closed Mondays and last Sunday of the month.

Kopitiams had been around for more that a decade, be it old time style or even the more commercialized ones like Old Town Kopitiam, people had always enjoyed a cup of good coffee and toast.

Yut Kee had been around the business for more than 70 years but up till now still stands strong among the many new businesses and a favorite option place for food goers.

If you're craving for something porky, Yut Kee Restaurant is definitely a food place not to be missed. This old style coffee shop has been around since 1928, serving cups of local-style brew coffees and authentic hainanese cuisines; famous ones would be the hainanese pork chop and pork bread.

Upon entering the shop, you feel as though you travelled back through time; filled with dark wooden chairs and old portraits.

I've been here a couple of times and this place is always packed with food goers especially on weekend mornings. But fred not, the service is up to speed regardless of the huge crowd though getting a table could be a hassle at times.

My previous review at the below link:

Another favorite order would be the Roti babi (RM 7) It is stuffed with minced pork, onions, carrots and crab meat; then wrapped with slices of soft and fluffy bread dipped into egg batter before frying. Ooooolalala... simply heaven! :P

Hi peeps, I'm back from the land of Penang and work had been piling up; not knowing where to begin.... With the economic down turn and companies looking into cutting their spending; life can never be that stressful. *sigh*

FOOD at Penang was good and I had my fair dose of Asam Laksa. I reckon putting a kilo or more after the endless food spree we had earlier.

Anyway here are overdue photos of the CNY reunion dinner we had at Robson Heights Seafood Restaurant with my ex fellow college mates. Robson restaurant is situated at the hill side off the Federal Highway and is well knowned for its authentic Chinese seafood cuisines.

We ordered their CNY set menu and added a few extra dishes to curb our hunger. :)Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
